The 2025 Ford Mustang marks a significant moment in automotive history as the last V8-powered domestic pony car in production. With the Chevrolet Camaro ending production and the Dodge Challenger undergoing a complete redesign, the seventh-generation Mustang carries the torch for traditional American muscle car performance. Engine (Power)
The 2025 Mustang offers three distinct powertrain options. The EcoBoost models feature the 2.3-liter turbocharged engine paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission, and the GT models offer the 5.0-liter V-8 with a choice of 10-speed automatic or six-speed manual. The 2.3-liter turbocharged I-4 engine generates 315 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque and powers the EcoBoost trims. Featured in the GT models is a 5.0-liter V-8, producing 480 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque. For more power, the Dark Horse raises the bar with an enhanced 5.0-liter V-8, achieving an impressive 500 horsepower and 418 pound-feet of torque.
Performance
Each 2025 Ford Mustang trim delivers impressive acceleration figures. The EcoBoost reaches 60 mph in 4.5 seconds, while the GT achieves a 0-to-60 mph time of 4.2 seconds with a top speed of 155 mph. Leading the pack, the Dark Horse sprints to 60 mph in 4.1 seconds and completes the quarter-mile in 12.5 seconds at 115 mph.
Interior
A 12.4-inch digital instrument cluster and 13.2-inch touch-screen infotainment system with SYNC 4 software come standard on all models. Both displays offer extensive customization options to match different driving modes and personal preferences.
